About DIYCarPlay — CarPlay Decoder Manufacturer in Shenzhen

DIYCarPlay designs and manufactures OEM-integration CarPlay & Android Auto decoder modules for the global retrofit market.

What We Do

DIYCarPlay focuses on one product category: decoder modules that add modern smartphone connectivity to vehicles with factory infotainment systems. Our catalog covers 300+ vehicle models and series — BMW CIC/NBT/EVO, Mercedes NTG4.0 through HU6, Audi MMI 2G to MIB3, Porsche CDR/PCM, JLR, Volvo, Lexus and more — spanning model years 2006 to 2025.

Unlike trading companies, we control the full chain: CAN-bus protocol research, hardware design, firmware development, batch testing and private-label production. That means faster platform updates when vehicles get facelifts, consistent firmware behavior across brands, and direct engineering support for your install network.

Our Journey

The DIYCarPlay Story

How a single-platform decoder project became a 39-module CarPlay decoder catalogue covering 300+ vehicle models and series.

  1. 2015

    Founded in Shenzhen

DIYCarPlay was established as a car-electronics manufacturer focused on OEM-integration retrofit modules — the factory-direct model our customers buy from today.

  2. From single platform to multi-brand coverage

The first CAN-bus decoders were built for one head unit generation. Verified firmware followed for CIC, NBT and EVO on BMW, then NTG generations on Mercedes-Benz, MMI and MIB on Audi, and PCM on Porsche.

  3. Android Auto, HiCar and screen mirroring added

Every module became a multi-platform interface: wired and wireless Apple CarPlay alongside wired and wireless Android Auto, Huawei HiCar and AirPlay / Miracast mirroring on the same hardware.

  4. Wholesale, private label and OEM programs launched

Supply moved beyond single units: stock quantities from 10 pcs, private label from 500 pcs per model with your logo, packaging and manual, and full OEM firmware customisation from 1000 pcs per model.

  5. Today

    300+ vehicle models & series

The catalogue now covers 300+ vehicle models and series spanning model years 2006–2025, shipped to retrofit installers, distributors and car-electronics brands worldwide.

Quality & Testing Process

01

Platform Bench Testing

Every module revision is tested against the real head unit it ships for — CIC, NBT, EVO, NTG, MMI, PCM — not a generic simulator.

02

Full-Function Verification

Wireless pairing stability, steering-wheel controls, factory mic routing, reverse-camera trigger and OEM menu switching verified per batch.

03

Batch Consistency

Retained samples per production batch. Firmware version locked per order so every unit in your shipment behaves identically.

FAQ

Frequently Asked Questions

Where is DIYCarPlay located and can I visit?

We are in No. 1 Yongxiang Road, Bantian Subdistrict, Longgang District, Shenzhen, Guangdong, China. Factory visits and video factory tours are welcome for distributors and brand owners — contact us in advance so we can arrange a time and prepare the module samples you want to see.

How long has the company been making CarPlay decoders?

DIYCarPlay was founded in 2015 and has focused on CarPlay and Android Auto retrofit modules since then, which is why our coverage now spans 300+ vehicle models and series rather than a single generic box.

Do you have quality control and test reports?

Every module goes through a full function test before packing — boot, wireless pairing, CAN-bus communication on the target head unit, camera passthrough and audio routing. We keep retained samples per batch and can supply the test log with your shipment on request.
