What is a wireless CarPlay decoder module?
A wireless CarPlay decoder (also called a CarPlay interface or CarPlay retrofit module) is a box that adds Apple CarPlay and Android Auto to a factory head unit that never shipped with them. It plugs in behind the dashboard, keeps the original screen, buttons and steering-wheel controls, and switches between the factory system and CarPlay with a long-press of the MENU button. DIYCarPlay covers 300+ vehicle models and series.
Are you a manufacturer or a trading company?
We are a manufacturer based in Shenzhen, China — founded in 2015 — with our own hardware design and firmware team. We sell direct to retrofit shops, distributors and car-electronics brands, so you deal with the factory rather than a middleman, and firmware fixes come from the people who wrote the code.
